I have lived with them for most of 7 years and take a cocktail of anti-histamines to manage them, but almost daily have some on my body somewhere. Most doctors use steroids (which didn't work for me), anti-rejection medication or anti-malarials (which control them for me) and combinations of anti-histamines to treat hives. Oatmeal is my friend because it at least takes the itching away. I sure wish there was a cure for hives because I would certainly take it.
