i keep trying new products to get rid of my acne. its not that bad but i get pimples here and there. when i wash my face with a lot of different products my face unfortunately gets hives! its lame.

anyone have home remedy’s or any other alternative to getting rid of the pimples?

i recently had to be rushed to a&e with anaphylactic shock. I am not an alergic person and to date am only allergic to penicillin. I came out in this terrible inflamed red rash, all my eyes closed due to the swellin and my tongue was huge and ny throat started to close. i stayed in hospital for a bit while the sorted me out. they then sent me home with antihistamines and steriod tablets. After a couple of days the rash had gone and i was fine. But now the tablets have run out it is back with vengence. the rash is everywhere except my face and hands. the doctor will not perscribe the steroids that the hospital gave me and has sent me for blood tests and tested my poo. But all come back ok. How can i get rid of this rash. it is making me feel so down and under the weather. i am taking benedryl to try and help but its just helping with the itch. Does anyone have any ideas….as i have not changed anything in my routine, foods etc.

I have had a rash of some sort on my knuckles and in between the webbing of my thumbs for about a mouth now. Also, everytime i do a physical activity such as run or play sports i will break out in hives/rashes after playing. I have also noticed a rash or red dry-skin mark around my armpits.
I have had nasal congestion over the month too, anyone know what these symptoms are ?

Within an hour of landing in Kona, ears and throat got extremely itchy. Never felt quite right or energetic while there. I also have a mold allergy and it was very overcast most of the time. Someone told me all the gasses from the volcanoes were sulphuric acid. For those that are familiar with homeopathy, what’s also interesting is that a remedy for improving my health is SULPHUR, which was chosen by 2 different homeopathists at two different times in my life. Any comments or explanations are welcome.

I was wondering if you can develop a tolerance to antihistamines such as benadryl if taken often, i.e. will it become insufficient like alcohol to alcoholics and antibiotics for bacteria?

And while we’re on the subject, i get hives very frequently and was wondering if anyone knows any good treatment besides benadryl.

So I’ve been sick for at least a month now, though really it only just got bad this week. By bad I mean your average cold - sore throat, stuffy and runny nose, coughing and sneezing.
Today, I woke up really feeling the effects of the cold so I took two acetaminophen and a shot of Buckley’s (two teaspoons). I take acetaminophen quite frequently - I know, it’ll probably give me liver damage and whatnot - because it seems to help with some stress-related issues (probably just a placebo, though). Anyway, three hours after I took the Buckley’s, I had to go in for my Physics 20 final exam at school and, feeling like shit, I finished off the bottle of Buckley’s - about one and a half teaspoons. According to the bottle, this was okay. All through the test, I was taking Halls along with when I got home. I’ve also taken some Vitamin C eucalyptus throat lozenges since I ran out of Halls.
When I got home from the test, I think I took another acetaminophen but I’m not quite sure if I did - I can’t recall. Either way, according to the directions on the bottle, I would have been okay.
Also, fairly quickly after arriving home from the test, my elbows became very itchy and then my right knee did. Soon after, my left knee followed suit. Then I started getting the chills and I asked my sister if she was cold but she said she wasn’t - rather, she was too warm and wanted to turn down the heat. I’m still freezing and with goosebumps and when I showed my mom my elbows she immediately recognized it as hives. I used to get hives a lot, mostly when I got too hot or went out in the sun, but it seemed to have gone away.
Anyway, I suddenly started feeling a sort of tingling in my throat but I figured it was just my cold. Then, worried about the hives and thinking that maybe it could be the cold, I googled it. Apparently hives has been linked to some not-so-great side effects of all of the drugs that I have taken today (except for the cough lozenges - I haven’t checked those yet). My neck and eyelids are now growing increasingly itchy.
I don’t want to bother my mom in case it’s nothing because my brother is currently in the hospital with a heart infection and she’s already worried sick about him, but I’m feeling really nervous about all of this. I’ve stopped taking cough lozenges and medicines now (I might try again tomorrow, since I have another exam in the morning).
I’m wondering if anyone has gone through anything like this before, or if any medics are in the community who could point me in the best direction - to go to ER, phone health link, or just lay low for a while? Maybe have a bath or something?
Also, any remedies for hives? They are burning really badly.

Well, now my stomach is hurting a bit, but I’ve always been known for my stomach-aches and normally it’s something I wouldn’t pay attention to.
Also, I am on day two of my period if that could have anything to do with the hives.

this morning i woke up with horrible itchiness on my head i was scratching it like crazy and then felt the pain of my fingers in my skin so i stopped for about a half hour and laid back down. i started up again because i couldnt help it. and then i started itching my neck and behind my ears easily and my back/shoulders violently i went to lift up my shirt to see why i was feeling huge bumps and i saw major hive on my back crwling up my neck and kinda over my shoulders. i did not eat anything different last night and i really don’t know whats going on! i took some benadril (i dont know how to spell it lol) and i striped my bed and put it in the wash along with all the clothes i was wearing i am sooooooooooooooooo itchy please help me find out whats wrong and how to treat it please!

I am highly allergic to a dog that my parents recently adopted. I have had severe allergies to the dogs since birth. I break out in red hives around my mouth and arms when he is near me. He is an indoor dog. I have asked my parents multiple times to put him outside, but they never listen.

I’ve tried just about every treatment for my allergies, and nothing is working. I’m 13 years old, so I can’t get my own house. Is there any way for me to take some sort of legal action against the dog?
