A doctor prescribed me 10 days’ worth of the prednisone steroids, and the hives were beginning to subside, but by the time the prescription was done and I took it all, they came back with a vengeance!
I have also been told to take Zinc to boost my immune system in hopes it would help make the hives go away, and also vitamin b6, which I have been doing. And oatmeal lotion. Does anyone else have any other suggestions? I am really tired of them and have put up with them for months. I know other people have probably had them longer than I have, but I’m just tired of it and any advice or success stories of getting rid of the hives would truly be appreciated!
I have been taking over the counter antihistamines, and I have tried switching between other otc antihistamines but it’s getting to the point where my body is immuned to them. I just really want to get rid of the hives for good.
I am female, age 26 if that makes any difference.
It’s not from anything I’ve been eating or any new laundry soap or anything like that. There have been days I literally didn’t eat anything at all just because I was busy or didn’t feel like eating (but no I’m not anorexic, I am back to eating now). But those couple of days I didn’t eat, I still broke out with the hives really bad.

I do have poly-arthritis and am wondering if this is a new symptom
My daughter has decided that it might be the new brand of soy milk we bought recently but I’m not allergic to soy. No fever and no new medications for the arthritis but I see my rhuemotoligist on Wednesday.
They just appear usually on my head. Then I take prednisone which I don’t like. Any reason or treatment?
I keep getting the hives, nothing in my environment has changed, however i have been getting hives lately, i get them maybe every 4 or 5 days, sometimes with longer breaks in between.
Can they be caused by stress?
What could i be allergic to?
I know for sure that my mom hasnt washed any of my clothes in different detergents, and everything we use is washed in stuff for sensitive skin.
Also, i’ve never been allergic to pollen, cats, or anything like that.

I’ve been breaking out in itchy red bumps on face, hands and arms, and can’t figure out why. I haven’t eaten anything unusual, I don’t think I have any allergies. Any ideas? thanx!

Last night, my dog played with one of his friends for several hours. I noticed that the skin underneath his fur had become red and flushed, but assumed that this was from excitement while playing. Twenty-four hours later, he now has some reddish spots visible under his fur. In the armpit and foreleg area, he has reddish bumps that look like hives. Could he have an allergic reaction to the other dog’s saliva or could all of the activity caused him to break into hives? Could it be something else completely? Please help!
I have had Hives twice in the last 5 months and I can’t figure out what would have caused it twice but also so far apart.
